Through seven years and nine series we have sweated and toiled to write and perform over fifty hours of material and always we have striven to make it ever fresh, subtle and sophisticated, and yet even now people stop us in the street and say "When's spot coming back" or "Do your Grimbling voice". It makes you sick, you rabble don't care about the clever stuff all you want are these inane catch phrases, right you can have them, here they come the whole putrid lot...1965 - Ferretts

After the show when me and Mole (my friend who got the tickets) were walking down Northumberland Avenue and we met JC, TBT and GG walking up from the theatre and stopped and chatted for a couple of minutes. We asked JC if there was likely to be another series and he said it was unlikely as they were all doing other things and that a set of scripts for a series was a pile about 2ft high. We said goodbye and walked off thinking that we had seen the recording of the last ever ISIRTA.
There was the 1973 series and the 25th anniversery programme, but to my mind they were nowhere near as good as the programmes of series 2 to 5.
