William Winter & Rachel Cole have been invited to apply to represent the UK in Mirror Class World Championships in Canada in 1997. They have sent in their application and expect to hear in January.

The World Championships will take place in Kingston, at the north-east corner of Lake Ontario. They may find the lake a little wider (some 40 miles) than the Cam at Clayhithe!

Although they are juniors, they are used to sailing against (and beating) good adult competition. This invitation follows their outstanding success against adults in the Mirror Eastern Area Traveller's Trophy during the 1996 season. They have also done well in the Cambs Youth Sailing League.
