Following the final round of the 1997 Cambs Youth Sailing League at Paxton Lakes, William Winter and Rachel Cole of the CSC were this year's overall winners of the Cambs Youth Sailing League, having just before snapped up the 1997 Mirror Eastern Area Traveller's Trophy, repeating their 1996 triumph.

In the overall CYSL team competition, the CSC were unable to repeat last year's win, being beaten into second place. Well done Oppies, you did well considering our lack of Lasers!

The team that won this year was Hunts SC. Well done the Hunts team!
