Hunts SC Juniors beat the CSC team into second place, but only by one point! The event was the first round of the 1997 Cambs Youth Sailing League. Altogether 32 boats entered the event, which was at home for the CSC, on Saturday, 12 April.

CSC juniors are in high spirits, however. They've done better than in last year's first round, also held at the CSC, when they were further behind Hunts, but they went on to win later events to finish the year as overall winners.

Despite the inter-club result, the CSC's William Winter & Rachel Cole won all their three races in a Mirror to take the individual prize. They're a hard pair to beat, which is why they're representing the UK in Mirror Class World Championships in Canada in August.
