Winds up to at least Force 6 blew the Cam SC team to victory in the last event of the 1998 Cambs Youth Sailing League, held at Paxton Lakes SC. They were winners of both the event and the 1998 season trophy.

After winning the trophy in 1996, they were beaten into second place by Hunts SC last year. Well done all participants for winning it back this year.

As well as the inter-club result, the CSC's William Winter & Rachel Cole raced their Mirror into first place in both the Paxton Lakes event and winning the individual championship as they did last year.

William and Rachel also had a good year elsewhere.

CSC member Lawrence Mansfield sailed away with the under-12 Cambs Youth Sailing League championship, making it an excellent year for the club's juniors. Lawrence sails an Optimist.

Nearly all the team contributed valuable points to their resounding win, notably the individual winners mentioned above and Dale Winter and Andrew Davies in another Mirror, who were 4th overall.
