Could you bring some foldable chairs please?
I forgot to mention, that Vitalija is selling her 1st CD: "On the Way to Thee" for £7 today (live recordings of her chants and peace dances, 50 minutes) - if you buy one, you would support her as a musician. You can listen to it on our CD player

Please bring some non alcoholic drink and preferrably vegetarian food for sharing. (if wine, please dry red)
Creative contributions are welcome! (We'll have a piano in the garden)

Has anyone got a video camera and would be happy to use it???

We didn't have a Rainbowe Party for over a year. And last year I didn't celebrate my birthday with a party either. Also I haven't seen many of you recently... so:
time for a party!
This party provides an opportunity for heart connections, to meet spiritual / healing / interesting and inspiring people - and the Cambridge Georgian choir CHELA, who will be present and sing in most amazing harmonies!
We plan to listen to some Georgian singing by Chela, join in about 2 Dances of Universal Peace and a "hug for peace" (see below).
Draft programme: @ ~5:15pm: cake cutting - ~7pm: supper - ~8pm lighting of bonfire

Please be aware that on this Summer Solstice day some global events are going on - we like like to include these in this party:
We hope to offer a little Summer Solstice ritual - any ideas or help with that?
"Prayers For the Planet": everyone is asked to
conduct A Universal Worship Service, a Healing Circle, Dances of Universal Peace, Zikr, Ziraat, or Meditation Service
and pray for our One Planet, as One United Family!
The 3rd "Hug around Jerusalem", 21 June 2009. Lovers of Jerusalem, Lovers of Humanity, Join us again - thousands of people holding hands around Jerusalem / Al-Quds to promote Unity in the Holy Land and the World. "When there is Peace and Harmony in Jerusalem, the World will Rejoice" (Time: between 2- 9pm British summer time) See http://jerusalemhug.org/

We welcome help with preparing - and washing up after the party.

What would the beauty of the rainbow be without all the different colours?
Together they create this magic.
Together millions of tiny rain drops form the pixels making up the rainbow,
create something beyond and higher than their own tiny individuality.
And since the times of the Old Testament the rainbow reminds us
on God's promise to stay with us -
he will not create another flood - if we remember and respect God.

Tuesday 26 December 2000 - Boxing Day, 4-10pm: another Rainbow Network PARTY (with lots of Richard's balloons)
Saturday 10 March 2001: Spring is coming - and Ralph is back from Latvia - time for another Rainbow PARTY 6-11pm (actually we stayed around the fire way after midnight under a shining full moon).
Sunday 10 June 2001: Summer Rainbow PARTY 6-11pm. I moved into the garden facing room! - AND we have new lodgers: Michelle and Gopal, our lovely Hare Krishna friends. - AND my friend Ilona Zelenevska, Latvian artist and designer is staying with me..
We had at least 30% guests whom I only knew from their email address - and they haven't seen me before. A very lifely bubbely event, including lots of happy kids...
Sunday 23 Sept '01, 5 - 11pm: Rainbow Network PARTY and Autumn Equinox celebration. Less people came (after September 11th) and we didn't start the fire in the garden. We had a lovely baby as a special guest.
A Saturday in February '02: not too many people came, the rain was a bit cold and we were too lazy to start the fire in the back of the garden.
Sat 20 July '02: several new - and some "old" faces came - again a wonderful mixture; after a downpour we spent most of the evening around the fire until afte 2am.
Sat 21 June '03 from 4pm - 12pm: semi-public Garden Party on the occasion of Ralph's 50^th birthday. 1st party at Ralph's new home. Wonderful people, big garden and a gazebo.
Sat 28 Feb '04 from 8pm at Bharat Bhavan (Old Library, Mill Road / bridge). 30 people would normally be a full house - in this spacious hall it did not feel like full at all. Some of us enjoyed circle dancing with live music and a few dared free style dancing to taped music.
Sat 4 Sept 04 from 7pm, Bharat Bhavan. About 40 people had delicious shared food, circle dances with live music, an Indian dance presentation from Vidya (who also brought her crystal skulls), a peace dance and a chant. Wonderful atmosphere.
Originally we thought this would be the farewell party for Vitalija & Ralph
Sat 14th May '05, 7:30 - 11pm: fundraising party for 209radio at Bharat Bhavan - including presentations of Tango Argentino, Indian Dance by Vidya, Contact Improvisation with Matthew (www.mattvenn.net/contact) and a peace dance with Ralph
Sat 19th Nov. '05: REALLY SORRY - due to a breakdown of the heating system, this party had to be cancelled.
Sat 25 March '06, 7:30 - 11pm: SORRY - CANCELLATION - because of delayed building work the venue Bharat Bhavan was NOT available
Sat 18 Nov. '06, 7:30pm - 11:30 @ the Unitarian Hall, Victoria Street:
New party record: lowest number of guests ever (a dozen or so) - and the most intense, high quality sharing and discussion we ever had! This party may have changed some lives.... - sorry for all who missed it! And some of us enjoyed dancing Tango Argentino.

Sat 3rd May 2008, 7:30pm - 11:30 @ the Unitarian Church Hall - wonderful people - deep conversations...
