Cambridge Millennium Bike Ride[About CTC Cambridge DA] [Runs list] [National CTC site] [Home page] [CamNet]
The Cambridge Millennium Bike Ride provides a circular tour through the villages around the city. It uses quiet country roads which are safe and pleasant to ride. The route can be joined at several points around Cambridge, so the distance can be adjusted to suit the riders and the time available. The routes from the centre to join the Ride use cycleways wherever possible - but inevitably some routes use sections of roads.
The sketch map
and these directions should be
enough to follow the route. Ordnance Survey 1:50 000 Pathfinder 154
Cambridge and Newmarket covers all the places visited and
shows much more detail.
The route has extra loops that make the distance up to 100 km. It is intended to use the 100 km routes for the Cyclists' Touring Club's Millennium Challenge. The Challenge will be open to all riders.
Details of places of interest and where to obtain refreshments have been included in the notes.

The crossing over the River Cam at Clayhithe provides access to the riverside paths.
