Our next event:
Sunday 29 June '08: 6th Cambridge Interfaith Fair, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Who are we?

We come from many different religious and spiritual groups. We feel it is important to be guided by the light of religion, to find a way and a truth, which values both unity and diversity and serves to uplift the human spirit. We aim to keep an open mind, providing a forum where groups and individuals can meet, acknowledge each other, learn to listen and share experiences, so that we are all enriched.

We believe that dialogue and co-operation can only exist if they are rooted in respectful relationships which do not blur or undermine the distinctiveness of different religious traditions, and subscribe to the Guidelines for Dialogue of the Inter Faith Network of the UK.

Cambridge is home to many different faith communities and many different spiritual groups. This presents us with a remarkable opportunity for mutual understanding and for creating a society rooted in common values, while celebrating variety of belief and practice. Since 1980 the Cambridge Inter-Faith Group has worked to build good relations between faith communities in Cambridge. It is part of the Inter Faith Network UK (www.interfaith.org.uk) and of the East of England Faiths Agency (www.eefa.net).

Everybody is welcome to join the Cambridge Inter-Faith Group. We encourage members of all faith groups in Cambridge to become actively involved in inter-faith work by joining our steering committee.
The meetings are free of charge and sometimes followed by refreshments. You can support our work by leaving a voluntary donation at our meetings or with yearly contributions. (we suggest £6 per year). Please make cheques payable to the "Cambridge Inter-Faith Group".

Where and when we meet

The Cambridge Inter-Faith Group meets sometimes on the last Friday of a month at 8 pm in the Unitarian Hall with tea / coffee available from 7.45 pm - see our programme. VENUE: Unitarian Hall, Victoria Street (off Emmanuel Road, opposite Drummer Street Bus Station, CB1 1JW - see web map)
