A brief summaryHumanists believe we can live meaningful, decent and moral lives without superstitious or religious beliefs, and that there can be no divine revelation. For our understanding of the universe, our search for meaning and our judgments of right and wrong we must rely on our own observation and reasoning. For support, wisdom and guidance we must look to one another. Humanists believe the soundest moral and ethical judgments are those based on rational humanist principles. For this reason we strive to ensure a non-religious viewpoint is presented wherever moral or ethical matters are taught or discussed. |
Where to find out more about humanist beliefsIf you want to know about humanist beliefs, there's plenty of material elsewhere on the web, such as the British Humanist Association's site. Rather than repeat large chunks of it here, we have included a brief summary in the left-hand column of this page and refer you to our links to other sites and organizations. |
