Pymoor - W.I. Hall

This building is separated from the pub by three bungalows, so is close to the centre of the village on the west side of Main Street.  Out of site on this picture is the flat roofed extension which adds some twelve feet to the far side of the hall.

These days, apart from the regular meetings of the W.I. the hall is used for worship every Sunday by small congregation.  It is also used as the polling station at election times.  In the past it was the main centre of entertainment in the village.  See the photograph of a 1930s fancy dress dance held here.

If anyone can tell me more of the history of the building, please let me know.
