Pymoor - The Old Post Office

Although the mill was used as a shop and post office for a period in the early 1990s, this house was the building most villlagers would describe as the old Post Office.  It served as a general store and closed in the late 1980s.  Various people used to run it including Mr Wallace and Mr Barker.

The Post Office appears as the dark building beside the garage in the picture of the crossroads (61k).  On the left of this picture is the old pub (20k) and on the right the new house built on the site of the garage, right on the crossroads.

This picture was taken early in the morning in September 1998.
