Onions are not the most popular crops in the area. That honour would go to sugar beet, wheat or potatoes. However, in 1998 the field next to the Oxlode Fishing Lakes (61k) was used for onions and this picture shows them being harvested.
In the background can be seen the trees which run beside the footpath (94k) which leads from the lakes.
