Pymoor - Potato Harvest

Originally I asked if anyone could date this photograph and identify who it is that is clustered around these freshly packed potatoes.  I now have some of the names.

From left to right they are: Oval Cross, Elsie Cross, Marjorie Bell, unknown, Clara Lythle, unknown, Hilda Bell, and unknown.  If you can supply the missing names, let me know.  Times have changed since it was taken!  For a more recent view Look at the 1998 onion harvest (53k) in progress.

Throughout the autumn of 1998 I corresponded constantly with staff and students at Sheridan College, Toronto Canada. Final year drama students were performing Caryl Churchill's play Fen and wanted to know as much as possible about local accents, crops and other details of life.  This photograph was eventually selected to form the backdrop to their programme and posters.
