Welcome to the wonderful world of volunteers!

Like every charity, CRISP relies on the help of volunteers in a number of areas such as publicity, fundraising, admin tasks and of course, websites.

The CRISP website has been created and set up by a group of volunteers who somehow found their way to CRISP - they all wanted to work on a long term creative project which would be beneficial to the larger community. We sat around and discussed design, style and information content until Jorge came up with the graphics and artwork and John and Erika worked on setting up the website. Each week they gave up 2 hours of their time and within 3 months we were up and running with the help of Robert, also a volunteer and computer expert.

Each month we'll be profiling a CRISP volunteer who'll let you know what it means to volunteer and what they did and didn't get out of it…this month it's the web design team who tell us how the website came about.

If you're interested in helping out at CRISP then please email crisp@cecf.co.uk and leave your details and how you'd like to be involved… remember it can be anything you're interested in, and will benefit CRISP or the Cambridgeshire community - publicity, fundraising, training, counselling, attending conferences and meetings, educational talks, social events etc.

Most charities need volunteers, so you can always find out about other volunteering opportunities from the Cambridge Volunteer Centre (tel 01223 356549 or Email info@cam-volunteer.org.uk

Happy volunteering!
