Notice for users:
Bharat Bhavan is open for user groups now, even though the building work is not completely finished.
Please make sure the hall is ready to use and building work does not take place when you want to use the hall.
All Hall Bookings should be confirmed by Suresh Patel (tel: 01954 787142, NEW mobile: 07772019679).
The carpeted part of the hall between the kitchen and the Shrine area can be used for groups and activities.

The kitchen is tiled now & has a double sink, but no cooking facilities yet.
Toilets are installed.
The sand stone columns and arches for the shrine have been strengthened by additional steel beams. The marble tiles & dieties will come next.
The Hindu Shrine opening date is not clear.
Stairs to the basement are installed.
The basement could be used for storage or a small group meeting.
Ceiling lights are in place (but switches are not easy to find).

The fuse boxes are in the far corner of the basement, the heating and boiler not installed yet.
Apologies to all users from the ICCA management for any inconvenience due to building works.

The dining area is currently not usable..

For the future we hope, that

The old carpet will be removed, and the wooden floor will be sanded and sealed with a 'carpet to roll out' option.

The final separation into hall + 2 rooms + a new mezzanine floor above the dining area at the Mill Road side, new entrance depend on the progress of work & funding.
