How to book Bharat Bhavan

You can rent this beautiful spacious hall

If you want to book the hall (see above) and have checked the availability,

A booking is confirmed, when the payment in cash or cheque (made out to "ICCA") has reached the bookings officer.

Bharat Bhavan can be hired for meetings, concerts (excellent acustics!), conferences, classes and events. Please be aware when using the building, that Bharat Bhavan is a sacred space, sometimes functioning as Cambridge Hindu temple. The whole of the building is smoke free, no alcohol nor meat consumption. Please treat especially the altar with respect (like in a church). See photos of inside the hall
The hall has the feel of a high church or concert hall inside.
The main area is about 19 meters long & 6.5 m wide.
Cooking facilities: Basic facilities are available.

Cost for hiring Bharat Bhavan

After several years of building work, the cost for hiring the hall has been increased from May 2009:
33% reduced rate for ICCA members!
  • Part use and sharing use with other users exc Kitchen £15 per hour or £37.50 per 4 hours
  • Full and exclusive use of the hall excl. Kitchen £22.50 per hour or £67.50 per 4 hours
  • Full and exclusive use of the hall incl. Kitchen £30 per hour or £90 per 4 hours
    All bookings must be confirmed by min. 25% Deposit payment.
    We are happy to negotiate prices with you, especially for community and Indian cultural events and groups.

    Viewing the building:

  • If you are lucky, you find the door open during daytime - just try.
  • Before and after a regular user group, or at any public event (= bold entry in Booking Calendar), you might pop in for a quick check - please do not disturb the group.
  • please arrange a time with Rajni Shah, Bharat Bhavan caretaker.
