I hope you will enjoy our 2nd venture here in South East London: Steps into Spirit - Meditative Walks in South East London Walking is a simple activity and yet, when practiced in a focussed way, walking becomes a way of learning about oneself and develop a path towards the embodiement of all human qualities. It is also a wonderful and simple way of improving our physical health. When we walk with intention, we develop an awareness of: concentration, breath practice, centering, connection, self-effacement and attunement. We will walk as a group, doing a small number of circuits in Mayo Park in Sydenham, using simple sentences or mantras to support our concentration on both our breath and the rhythm of our walking movements. We will walk in silence, with times to connect with each other and check-in at various times, such as when we will change mantra. Sat-Sun 23-24 October: Jesus' Original Meditation with Dr. Saadi Neil Douglas-Klotz in London City The Ancient Spirituality of Creation: The Original Meditation of the Aramaic Jesus Though too often forgotten, the roots of peace in today's world can be found in the ancient understandings of the foundational stories and practices of the three Abrahamic faiths. This two-day workshop focuses on a spirituality that unites the three main religions of the Middle East and demonstrates how early mystics, including Jesus, may have meditated. In spite of apparent differences, all three religions originally shared an emphasis on sacred beginnings and a vision of a living caravan of ancestors. These ways of contemplation, which were kept alive by the mystics and mystical traditions of the three traditions, including Meister Eckhart, the Sepher Yitzerah, and the classical Sufis, including Rumi and Ibn Arabi. The basic meditations and practices shared seek to reclaim the life-affirming energy of creation as an ongoing reality. The workshop will use short lectures, meditation, chant, Dances of Universal Peace, and body prayer based on Neil Douglas-Klotz's books. London-Wimbledon: GREEN TARA PRACTICE     top of page

Based on an ancient Tibetan practice of praising and embodying the Great Goddess Tara. The traditional Tibetan prayer used in this dance offering is a complete practice of personal transformation. The dancers are led into a mandala of dance, instructed in the subtlety of sacred movement and mudra. They learn experientially the philosophy, meditations and visualizations of the traditional Tantric Buddhist practice. The dance has been taught and offered as a prayer to communities worldwide; It is a ritual offered by groups of women worldwide as a prayer of peace, protection, wisdom and capability. Prema Dasara (the Spiritual leader of the Tara Dhatu Organisation) created the dance, and Anahata Iradah (a DUP mentor) wrote much of the music for the Tara Dances.
TARA is the embodiment of wisdom compassion and power. TARA is known in many cultures as the ever accessible, all encompassing Great Mother Protector
Men are welcomed to do the Tara Dance (in the outer circle, as Protectors).
