Sounds of KCBC

You can now hear the Empacher finishes! All new from the training video from Thursday 15th February 1996 are two sound files, both of the Men's 1st VIII. They are in the windows .wav format, and have been compressed using pkzip (click here to download the pkunzip.exe file needed to unpack the files).

1st rowing sound file, 30 seconds, 154 kb
2nd rowing sound file, 24 seconds, 138 kb

Both were recorded as 8-bit mono with a sampling rate of 11,025 Hz. This obviously doesn't lead to CD quality sounds (which would lead to files 16 times larger) but it's good enough to get a feel for those finishes.

If you listen to the files, you'll perhaps get an idea of the coxing style of Nat, the cox of the boat in question. I'll also say that on that outing we did 2*1000m + 3*500m pieces - these files were actually of the last of these pieces.
