This is our boathouse, which, unfortunately, is the ugliest on the river. King's used to have a much nicer old boathouse until 1968, when, in a state of neglect, it had to give way to Elizabeth Way Bridge. The University's Department of Architecture then (mal)designed and constructed the current eyesore which King's share with Selwyn and Churchill College, and the Leys School. The bays from left to right are: fours bay (all clubs), King's bay, Selwyn bay, Churchill bay, and smalls boats bay (all clubs).
This is the inside of the King's bay. The boat on tressles is the yellow Empacher. On the left from top to bottom you can see Servalan, The Shark and The Turing Machine. The boats on the right include Claude on the bottom rack, Cardinal Sin in the middle and Paul Grandpierre at the top (you can tell as the bow end is missing - compare it to the boat below). As this was taken during the bumps, Daredevil is absent (it is usually at the top on the left) as the Men's Second VIII were using it. The Empacher usually lives at the top on the right. Other boats are on different racks nearby.
