This is a partial photo of the old King's boathouse which KCBC occupied until 1968, when, in a state of neglect, it was demolished to make way for Elizabeth Way Bridge. The University's Department of Architecture then (mal)designed and constructed the current new boathouse.
The person in the foreground is Paul Stonehart, one of the main benefactors of KCBC. The crew is the 1st Lent boat of 1960 which went on to make four bumps. The photo was given to the Boat Club by Roger Street.
