The KCBC page was one of the very first Oxbridge Boat Club web pages, even predating the CUBC pages, now the Cambridge University Combined Boat Clubs page. In fact, the first version of the CUBC page resided on the KCBC server. When Tim left College in 1997, the KCBC page was moved briefly from its original home on the GeoCities Webpages to the King's College server, only to move on again to its permanent home here on the CamNet.
Having broken new ground, the KCBC web page continues to be one of the best-maintained and most comprehensive pages of any rowing club in the UK. To ensure that KCBC stays at the forefront of web page publishing, the post of Computer Officer was created during the constitutional overhaul of 1996. The first Computer Officer, serving from 1996-98, was Matt Garner, an undergraduate studying Natural Sciences.
