Welcome to the King's College Boat Club Alumni Association which was founded in 1993 with
the aim of keeping friends and alumni of the Boat Club in touch with one another and
King's rowing, and as a means of providing financial security.
| Membership is open to anyone with an interest in rowing at King's and you can join the Alumni Association here. | |
| As a member you will be invited to the races and to all other social events that the Alumni Association organises. | |
| You will also receive termly printed copies of Henry's Eight, the Boat Club newsletter. | |
| You can join a KCBC Alumni e-mail list containing the occasional announcement about KCBC events and race results. | |
| Providing a means of financial security is a welcome side-effect of the Alumni Association, and if you are thinking about making a contribution, there are several ways to give to the Boat Club. |
The Alumni Steering Committee:
Alumni with a keen interest in the Boat Club's affairs and fortunes can become
even more involved by joining the 'Steering Committee'.
Composed entirely of members of the Alumni Association, this body meets at least once a
year and aims to provide advice, expertise, and most importantly, a measure of continuity
in the face of the constant flux of student oarsmen and women.
The Boat Club Archives:
In parallel with the foundation of the Alumni Association, the Boat Club Archives were overhauled and a campaign was
initiated to supplement existing records. The response from alumni has been very good, and
we continue to encourage past members to send their memorabilia on loan or as donations to
the Alumni Association Archivist who has now built a sizeable archive of photos, dinner cards, Captain's and President's
books and other memorabilia. As an indirect result of this, there are now definite plans
to write a book about the KCBC history.
Finally, we would be grateful if you could encourage any other ex-members of the Boat Club, with whom you might still be in contact and who might not be aware of the Alumni Association's existence, to also consider joining. Please give them the web address of this page. Who knows, perhaps we could even organise a meeting (or outing!) of your crew for you.

We look forward to seeing you at the boathouse soon!
