Winter Ale Festival 2003
Yet again the Cambridge Winter Ale Festival 2003
was a great success, the
experimental absence of music on Saturday night having
no appreciable effect on numbers and we had exactly
the right amount of beer.
Thanks to those who gave their time to work during the festival
and thanks to you for coming and supporting it.
And the scores on the doors (as voted by the people
who came to drink the stuff):
| Champion Beer
| Old Stoatwobbler (Spectrum Brewery*)
|
| 2nd
| North Brink Porter (Elgoods)
|
| 3rd
| Mammon (Milton)
|
| 4th=
| Men of Norfolk (Iceni)
|
| Myrica Ale (O'Hanlons)
|
| 6th
| Liquor Mortis (Blue Moon)
|
* For the benefit of those who aren't familiar with this new brewery,
Spectrum was founded last year by Andy Mitchell, sharing plant
with Blue Moon Brewery at Barford, Norfolk.
He uses organic malt and hops.
