CamNet is a community based service for Cambridge. It has been entirely created by local volunteers. Many new members will be joining up to use the service. Because CamNet has community aims, any new member can choose to become a volunteer and contribute to the structure and running of the service.
There is a huge amount of work to be done putting together an organisation as large as CamNet.
As well as helping to write the Cambridge information pages, volunteers are involved in almost every area of the service including:
If you have any skills to offer you will be welcome at CamNet. Contact us at Millenium House, 5 Covent Garden, Cambridge CB1 2TF, Tel: 01223 500600, or drop into our regular Monday night volunteers meetings at CB1 Cybercafe, Mill Road from 6:30pm
You do not require any special technical skills. Help with HTML and the Internet will be provided. It is hoped to provide a number of Internet connected workstations for volunteers but access to a computer at home or work would help spread the load.
